We are happy to announce that project EMARS is on its way with an official kick-off meeting on March 2025.
We're thrilled to share details about our innovative project: Engineering Hair-Bearing Models for Advanced Hair Regeneration Studies (EMARS). This initiative aims to develop hair-bearing skin constructs to improve treatment for deep wounds and hair loss.
Our consortium, Burn Research Lab, Hair Science Clinic, and Ourobionics, is collaborating to optimize hair graft storage conditions, determine conditions for hair regeneration from stem cells, incorporate stem cells into skin constructs, and utilize 3D bioprinting for precision placement.
This project has the potential to significantly impact patients' quality of life, reduce healthcare costs, and advance scientific understanding of hair regeneration. We're excited to contribute to the LSH sector and drive innovation in tissue engineering.
"The collaboration project is co-funded by PPP Allowance awarded by Health~Holland, Top Sector Life Sciences & Health, to the Dutch Burns Foundation to stimulate public-private partnerships"
We are so happy and exited to start this interesting project and are eagerly looking forward to put the innovative idea of hear bearing skin model into practice. We strongly believe we together with Burn Research Lab and Hair Science Clinic can turn this dream into reality.
